Our Symbol - The Adinkra
Our logo features the Adinkra symbol, or 'Boa me na me mmoa wo' (meaning 'help me and let me help you'.) This powerful Ghanaian emblem symbolizes cooperation, collectivity, collaboration, and interdependence. It serves as a reminder of the great impact we can have collectively when we collaborate to work toward a shared goal.
Our Purpose and Impact
Committed to diversifying the field of mental and behavioral health, we target students and mentors nationwide for our National Training program. Currently, less than 5% of behavioral health providers are Black. Trainees in our program receive individual guidance from a mentor, professional development, early career guidance, and leadership and skill development, to help prepare for and excel in college, graduate school, and early career jobs, to decrease this disparity and empower the next generation of professionals.
