Mentorship Training

Since 2019, the Black Mental Wellness Corp., National Training Program has connected undergraduate and graduate students with a mental health professional for an extensive training experience through our mentorship program.

For Mentees

Mentees Receive:
Virtual bi-weekly communication with a mental health professional (no specific location requirements)
Monthly didactics
Guidance to support personal/professional improvement
Knowledge about organizational development
Opportunities to enhance leadership skills
Community involvement in programs and content related to
Black mental health and wellness
Opportunities to contribute to content produced by Black
Mental Wellness

For Mentors

If you are passionate about supporting the next generation of Black behavioral health professionals, we invite you to join our team of amazing mentors!

The Black Mental Wellness Mentor program connects behavioral
health professionals with undergraduate and graduate students who are in need of mentorship and support.

Our hope is that the wealth of experiences this mentorship program provides will help prepare students for a future career in a mental health related field.

Applications for mentors will open in February of 2025.

Therapist? If you are a licensed therapist in the U.S. we need you to support our community by providing high-quality, culturally responsive mental health care. Please email us at info@BlackMentalWellnessFoundation.org, if you are interested in donating your time and services.

Seeking Therapy? The Black Mental Wellness Foundation will provide vouchers to help fund therapy sessions for Black children and adults. You can apply for funding to cover the cost of a co-pay, partial session fee, or the full session fee.
